SO glad i switched back to the old school of shaving. avereage out 100 blades almost comes out to .13 cents per 3 time of shaving. I laugh everytime Change blades now. THe MOck 3 blades where so expensive that you would be using them longer to save money and getting a bad shave And waste of $$$.
NOw i use SHark blades max 3 times. Its so affordable that i dont hesitate to change blades.Havent tried other blades but so far happy with SHark super CHromes stopped looking for others.ONce you relearn how to shave theres no going back to the MOck 3 racket$$$$.

Great safety razor with 100 blades included. First time using this type of shave system and it was by far the fastest and closest shave ever. I found that using it along with a good moisturizing shave cream allows it to glide so easy and fast. This ends up being a much better value than commercial multi-blade razors and this gives a a shave thats as close as you can get. Smooth!

Keeping it short and sweet - look at my review about double edge or wet shaving. you should have gained two important points - once you master your shaving form and once you find the right blade for you - life is good. if you use or like any of the following stainless steel (not chrome) razors - ASCO, BIG BEN, SHARK - and you get a great shave with those blades - then the Derby Blades are for you. why? they work just as well as those brands (and probably many other stainless steel blades!) but they are much, much cheaper. for example just searching amazon you should find 100 blades for bucks with a free shaving soap and free shipping thrown in!! search the internet (chat rooms, shaving clubs and other websites) and you may find them at a cheaper price!! again, going with the points I have listed - and you have truly tried other brands - you may find it to be an outstanding blade - on the cheap!!

I'm fairly new to DE shaving so I've only compared these to 2 other blades, Gillette platinum's and Personnas using both a Schick Krona and Gillette Tech. I prefer them to either in both razors. My beard is tough, like it can whip Kimbo Slice AND his beard tough, and these can last up to 5 shaves at three passes per. I got 2 maybe 3 from the others so these are a great value. I will buy them again.



A note for those thinking about getting into DE shaving, do it! I switched because I had to start shaving daily & using a Fusion was killing my face even though was preparing properly. Ingrown hairs had plagued me since I can remember but since switching I don't have a problem unless I ignore the grain. I shave with and across, never against and I still get baby butt smooth skin. That's something I never got without bumps and burns with the Fusion!
There was small learning curve but well worth it. I've since tried going back to compare and it was like switching channels to standard broadcast from HD. It's shocking how much better this is.
The price is right too. The slogan says "New blade, better shave" and at 20 cents a blade compared to .50 I can use a new blade everyday and still pay less than half that of using a Fusion. As you might have guessed I'm very happy I switched and I suspect you will be too.

This is my first double edge safety razor. I have very sensitive skin and therefore have always been in pursuit of the best shave for my type of skin. I started shaving 20+ years ago with disposable double blade razors. I later moved on to Mach 3, then 5 blade razors, and more recent expensive electric razors. I have also tried various shaving foams, creams, lotions, etc. I have never been satisfied with any shaving product. Until now! After much research, I decided to try a double edge safety razor. I bought this particular razor along with a Parker badger brush and a glycerin shaving soap. I must say, I am amazed at what I was able to achieve with my first try. I actually did not get any skin irritation! I am very happy that I was finally able to find something that actually works! Now, I am able to shave everyday without worries. If you dont buy this product, at least buy another double edge razor. I'm sure they will work better than anything else that's out there.
